Little Carrie kampung days

I love the corridor (& the neighbours) at my parents' place. All except 1 new household have been there since 30 years ago ! My parents take pride in this corridor of theirs. Near Chinese New year, you will see my parents decorating the WHOLE corridor. Yes ! The whole corridor will have a row of paper pineapples or some cute red lantern electrical lightings hanging from the ceiling. When one neighbour starts washing his portion of corridor, the rest if available will join & soon the whole lane is cleaned ! They will water each other's plants if they find the plants being neglected. They will collect mails on behalf if the other party is not at home. I simply love the cosy kampung spirit there. Don't think you can find this in any new neighbourhood now.

When Baby Carrie goes over to my parents' place, grandpa will share his passion of fishes & plants with her. Bringing her to catch the fishes that he reared in his little pond, teaching her how to water the plants, showing her how to feed the fishes etc etc. This suits my little Carrie for she always want to get out of the house. She loves the fishes in particular. Thats where she learnt to say "FISH". She will even call out to a particular goldfish to ask it to come to her (for her to catch it with her net), she will say "Fei3 Fei2 Lai2.." Haha...
