Pancake fun ! - 22 nov 09

Cooking for my little one has always been satisfying for me, i want to be able to whip up dishes that my little one would love to come home for dinner, in the same way of me missing my mum's dishes. Home-cooked food bring the family together somehow. I want to be a great mummy chef that Carrie can be proud of, just like my mum, dad & brother (yes my dad & brother are great cooks too!) to me. So if you realise, nowadays i'm very much into exploring kids meal than my own baking.

Cooking for Carrie is one thing. Cooking with Carrie is another BIG BIG enjoyment for me despite having to clear up more mess than if i cook alone. As she grows, she now loves to help in every little way she can. She's a good little helper :)

Yesterday she helped me with pancake for her breakfast !

She added water to Betty crocker easy pancake mix, i mixed it up, cooked it and she helped with cutting cutie shapes out using 'kawaii' cutters i bought from Japan, which includes her favourite characters: winnie-the-pooh and mickey mouse !

Without maple syrup in the house, i use nutella instead. Carrie has her fun of spreading it on the pancake and eating nutella directly off the spoon ! Then as usual, she spreads the love to me (her lovely mummy) and loves it when i say its delicious ! (see video)

So you see everyone, now you see why i have been cooking more kiddy food for Carrie than home cooked meal for Hubby, clearly, its more rewarding. hahaha...

  1. Ahhh Carrie is sooooooooooooooo CUTE! I feel so bad for scaring her and making her cry the other day. Now I bet she's even more scared of me. Wonder if she'll ever let me play with her... :(

  2. Dun worry, she's like that with people whom she doesn't see that often. She is still shy even with my bro's gf who she sees nearly every weekend !
