The RedBox Project

Some people have the thinking that having a kid equates to making endless sacrifices & its all about giving, giving, giving. Little do they know that, we are actually getting a lot, a lot, a lot back from our children.

By having Carrie and raising her till now has already made me a better person in my own opinion. (if you think otherwise, you don't have to tell me..haha)
* I'm now stronger mentally, having gone through the contractions and all the screams during child birth, what can be more mentally and physically draining?
* I'm braver. A mother hen has to be brave to protect their chicks ! (even if I am trembling inside !)
* I'm more patient. Yes yes..My naughty little Carrie does push my limits sometimes ! Haha...
* I no longer watch that much tv. Because i didn't want Carrie to watch too much rubbish on tv ! Hence I try to replace her tv time with reading, drawing, bubble blowing etc.
* My right arm is stronger than ever. Carrie is not light in weight ok !
Not to mention the joy & laughter that we are getting everyday ! Anyway the list goes on... so back to my main topic of this post on the RedBox project.
When i come across this RedBox project, my first thought is to teach Carrie to be kind ! The thing is, kindness cannot be taught like lessons in school, we have to teach by doing it and being a role model !
So I'm planning to bring Carrie to go buy the gifts, go home to get it all wrapped in the box and off we go to junction 8 to drop it off this Saturday !
For my 2 year old Carrie, right now the world is ALL HERS (unless mood is right to share). By planting this little seed of sharing in her today, hopefully the plant of kindness will grow in her ! Even if it doesn't, it has certainly grown in me.
Check the website out, you might find that seed of kindness in you too. :)
