Bacteria Bacteria go away !

Carrie has high fever from last friday, tonight, she hit 39.8 deg and I brought her to Thomson medical 24 hrs clinic. There, she hit 40.1 deg. Gosh, brought back memories from her UTI incident. Anyway did blood test and urine test (doc suggested urine bag, i say NO, i can make her urine!) And phew little Carrie did co-operate. And many apologies to QR who accompanied me to Thomson medical and as i carry Carrie, she had to collect the urine sample and hence inevitably Carrie pee on her hands !! paiseh !!

For blood test, a little prick on her finger to take a few drops of blood and no sound of cry from Carrie at all ! My little brave girl..

Need to wait for an hour for results hence meanwhile got Carrie a baked potato and a baked cheesecake. By this time, her fever subsided, and she really enjoyed her food ! I'm so happy to see her eat and being her cheery self again despite the cool pad on her forehead.

Results out. Here's what the doc said : The urine test come out cleared, nothing detected in urine, BUT..." And the moment he said the "BUT" word, my heart dropped and literally really took a breathe to prepare myself for whatever to come. "BUT, blood test detected bacteria in blood" And after asking a few questions, need to do stool test. Hence we went back home with broad spectrum antibiotic, panadol solution, high fever capsule and a container to collect stool samples to be submitted soonest possible.
