Carrie got this bug from her schoolmates in January this year. I tell you, its a damn difficult bug to get rid of. They just glue their eggs to hair strands so tightly that even combing with the special hairlice comb (you know those made of wood, traditional ones) doesn't help ! Especially when kids' hairs are more fine than adults ones. Once, i combed it for Carrie after shampooing her hair with the special shampoo which i think somehow alarmed the adults to get out of their hiding place, i caught SIX living hairlice adults crawling on the comb !!! *goose bumps*
The only effective way i find is to manually going through her head and using our fingers to pluck off the lice eggs one by one. With the kids limited patience, its quite impossible she sits through without moving an inch. i can just do as much as i can.
Luckily we always have old traditional way of using kerosense (or is it thinner) to wash the hair with and according to doctor, its the jinx of hairlice. Once they come in contact with it, they just burst. Here's my dad doing the treatment for little Carrie. He must be thinking, wow, he did that more than 20 years ago for me ?!?!??! But he dotes on the little one hence am sure he has no issues about it !

Preparing ...

Combing through with the solution...

Looking focus..while Carrie look sleepy..haha
Oh don't worry, she's bug-free now !
