A series of unfortunate events...
Its past midnight, with the 2 girls sleeping, finally i get to do a quick blog before zzz..better pen it down quickly then drag and never get it done. The past 2 weeks have been nothing short of events. It started on 5 dec where i am suddenly down with gastric flu, just puking in the middle of the night and even at edge of fainting. So I ended up with 2 days of MC. Luckily with remedy of cooked porridge water, i recovered pretty fast, within a day or 2. Then its Carrie's turn to feel uncomfortable in her tummy. Oh gosh, she must have gotten gastric flu from me, thats what i thought. Brought her to doc and confirmed that. But No No... on friday night 7 Dec, we discovered red spots behind her ears which she complained of itchness. oh oh..CHICKEN POX ! Her school lately had a breakout of chicken pox. Before her, already 4 of her classmates are on chicken pox MC and so is her cousin. Ok, she can't go to school, can't go to my in-law's place (as my MIL is also taking care of another niece), so for that week, I took leave to take care of Carrie at home. Anyway that brought me to another topic of "Childcare leave of 6 days where got enough ??!! chicken pox 2 weeks MC wor.." Not going to start ranting here, but dear policy makers, you see the point not...? Doc gave her MC from 8-21 Dec. Thinking on the bright side, well, i take this opportunity to be a stay-home-mum for 2 weeks ! Yippeeee...and can finally do quality time with my little Carrie. And we did ! We made milo agar agar together, play lego, play pretend-play "pasar malam". And just when i thought the worst (most contagious) period is over, Carrie fell down at my mum's stall and seriously fractured her elbow. Dad called and I rushed down to KK Hospital and this is another story all together.
