Men are from Mars & Women from Venus. Women always expect Men to know what Women want. And Men (being the simpler human version) always have no clue what women want, worse, they don't even know we want something to start with ! Then the woman will get upset & maybe secretly crying. The man will then notice something is wrong but don't know what is wrong exactly. And to make it worse, the woman doesn't want to say cos she expects her man to know. Then in the end ? Both get upset.
Over the years, I've quit playing this game of guessing (most of the time) I realise my hubby is actually a very simple human being. He just want me to be happy. And by telling him what i need directly, its a lot easier for him to make me happy ! He doesn't have to be constantly on his toes to guess what i need !
Don't get me wrong, I must clarify that i don't ask him for diamond rings, ruby necklace, hard cash etc. I meant things like e.g. if its been a long time since he gives me a surprise, i will ask him directly for a surprise ! If I suddenly feel like listening to his sweet lovey dovey words, I'll ask him for it ! Hee... some people will say it kills the effect then, but for me, how can i expect hubby to know what i'm thinking all the time when he isn't me. Plus sometimes husbands just need some gently reminders.
Gosh.. me & my long philosophy above again...Anyway that brings me to my main topic of the post > Our date on Friday 2 Jan 09. Hee.. I have asked hubby to try to date me every week. Sometimes we will go for midnight movie after Baby Carrie goes to sleep. Sometimes its just a simple dinner for the 3 of us at Lot 1. Sometimes just the 2 of us for dinner after work. Hee i just like him to do the asking, hee.. as if we are still dating mah..
Last friday 2 Jan 09, hee.. hubby actually complain why i didn't date him. Hee... (all ladies out there, so you see.. husbands need attention as well) so i asked him out for dinner ! (though in the end, it kind of involve my in laws, little boy & maid as well) & we went to the food court !! Gosh not that romantic afterall. Anyway after dinner together, it finally boil down to hubby, me & baby. So we 'dated' in a japanese dessert joint that night. Hee Baby Carrie is of cos enjoying herself on daddy's laps with her ice cream, she can now feed herself pretty well. While me & hubby share a much bigger serving of green tea ice cream with red beans & mochi.
