Woo !! I love this soup ! Will go well with fish & chips !
Here's the recipe if you wish to try my random cooking ! (haha... in any case, I never had the thought that anyone would want to get recipes from me..hahaha...) This is more for my own records.
Ingredients :
* sweet potato (can use just normal potato too)
* pumpkin
* spinach (chopped finely)
* fish
* rice-based cereals (those where you just add hot water for little babies)
* soy milk (unsweetened)
* pinch of salt
Please note these extra notes :
a) don't ask me how many grams of pumkin, how much soy milk..hmm.. just 'agar agar' lah ! For example, as soy milk makes up the soup, so how much to use depends on how much you can drink. But not forgetting the rest of the ingredients will build up the volume hence don't be too greedy !
b) You can easily replace the different ingredients with other stuff which you want your baby to eat ! But it must be able to be mashed up or chopped into very fine particles. For example, you can put fishballs into them, i mean, literally you can but it will just spoil the creamy style soup !
Ok here comes the steps :
1) steam pumkin / sweet potato / fish
2) Once cooked, mash them all up together (especially the fish must be flaked finely as Carrie will spit them out if the texture of her soup is not smooth enough. After done, set aside.
3) Heat up soy milk (i just bought a hot cup of this from Mr Bean lor. easy..) When it boils, just throw in the mashed mixture from Step (2), stir well.
4) Next, i use the rice based cereal to thicken the soup. As for how much to use depends on how thick your little one likes to have) Just keep spooning the cereal in till you like the consistency.
5) Lastly, add in the chopped spinach (don't add them before this step as vegetables shouldn't be cooked for too long a time as such process will destroy the nutrients.
6) Add a pinch of salt, stir well and done !!! Serve hot.(oops i mean just nice temperature for the little one) :)
