Carrie's second trip to the zoO ! - 4 oct 09

There's some weird chemistry between Carrie and Ayden. Despite great efforts from their 2 mummies (YS & me) to organise swimming sessions at YS's place, it has never been successful. Sometimes one of them will fall sick, sometimes one of them will have to go somewhere else etc. Gosh.. hence so far, they have never swam together, can you believe it ?! Weird ! Hence we draw the conclusion that their little gathering can't be pre-arranged, it has to be inpromptu !

For this zoo trip, hubby and I only decided on it on the morning itself. Called YS to ask her to join us at about 9am plus. 10.30am we are at her place to pick her up already ! So happily we start our little zoo trip ! (Little did we know that the weird chemistry is starting to brew again !)

Parked the car, got the tickets and entered the gates (all along with the weather looking sunny ok!) And then it just started to drizzle ! out of the blue !) Sigh.. what to do, we then decide to fill our stomachs while waiting so we headed out of the gates to KFC. And its so funny, when we settled down in our seats with hubby getting us the food, Mr Sunshine decided to come out again ! You can imagine our facial expressions lor ! Fine fine.. whatever, we finished our food (Carrie especially enjoying her popcorn chicken and Ayden loving his cheese fries).

After the food, AGAIN, we entered the gates. First station, phototaking with the parrots, the kids like looking at the birds (which i find it too noisy !) Haha.. anyway so while we are there looking at the parrots, it rained ! This time heavier than the previous one ! Many school kids who's there for excursion came over to the parrot area for shelter too. (imagine the noise level !) Oh well, no choice, we went into the souvenir shop close by and thats where Carrie took pics with the fake animals.

So after about 15 minutes, the rain stopped. We decided that this time we need to venture out for sure ! So off we start our tour. Zoo is certainly fun and really educational ! My Carrie can certainly recognise an elephant or fishes or giraffe from her books but really seeing the animals in front of you can be amazing for the kids ! Should come to the zoo more often ! Hahaha.. for little Ayden, being deprived of his usual morning nap, got a little cranky (but yes for sure still cute !) and being able to walk now, he certainly wants his share of walking by himself ! (no holding of his hands too !) which is the heart pounding one cos you are so worried that he might fall and cut himself on the rough ground.

As we make our way to Kids world, Mr Rain threatened to come again (wah lau..) so we took a rest at Ah Meng's cafe before its too late to escape. Drizzled a little again while we sat there to wait for the next animal show. Carrie enjoyed the show as there are monkeys climbing over our heads and to see MONKEYS live !! WoW factor for her !!

After the show, we wanted to visit kids world, however as we made our way there, we encountered strong winds..woo..fear of being trapped in the rain with our babies in their prams, we decided to call it a day and head home. (after taking pics with 'Ah Meng')


Though the trip is rather hazardous, its still an enjoyable trip !

Hahha.. don't know where she pick this type of smile from. Whenever you whipped out a camera and you asked her to "smile!" She will do this smile.haha.. see..same smile !
