One of my main worry is the 7hrs flight to Japan, will Carrie be able to sleep well ? Will her ears hurt when the plane is taking off ? Phew... luckily little Carrie adapted well and is happy throughout the flight to Japan osaka. :)
I guess hubby & I have to claim some credits for that as we prepared her favourite chewy candies (chewing helps and it created saliva in the mouth and swallowing of saliva helps relieve pressure on the ear drums if i'm not wrong) And not forgetting her favourite baby doll and the smelly pillow of hers to give her comfort.
Kids take cue of fear from other people around her, many adults made the mistake by unintentionally instilling fear in kids with questions/comments e.g. Are you scared ? Don't be scared ok ? Gosh.. then the kids are alerted that there is something to be afraid of right.. alamak.. If you make it fun & normal for them, there is no element of fear to start with.
So here's my little Carrie enjoying her japanese rice crackers on JAL.. Of cos she fell asleep after that.. :)
