Japan trip - 12 nov 09 - Nara

After breakfast, we head for Nara. We visited Todaiji Temple of Daibutsu - the largest bronze Buddha Structure in Japan within the serenity of Nara Deer Park where thousands of deer roam freely. In this park, deers are sacred animals and they do not seem to fear humans as well, pretty friendly animals.

Carrie seems more afraid of them than they are of Carrie. Hee..

A stall selling baked sweet potatoes using charcoal style !

Its 500 Yen for a medium size one which is about SGD 7.00 but we couldn't miss it right !! Charcoal cooking style !

Took a pic of hubby, a serious man is an attractive man.

The golden horns on the roof of the temple is to ward off bad spirits if i remembered correctly. Thats the problem with package tours, you rushed too much that you can't remember much details. haha..
Most of the wishes written down are about passing exams (not even about getting As, its more for just passing exams, Singaporeans would have written wanting more distinctions ! Talking about being kiasu ! haha..) But from here, we can feel being a student in Japan is surely stressful !

The drinking of sacred water to self cleanse before entering the temple.

The traditional ticket booth to buy the admission tickets.

A stroll in the park. Nice weather.
This sums up our morning agenda :)
